Why I love taking Boudoir photos!
Hello everybody, I’m Charlotte and I’m 31, and the photographer /creator of L Boudoir Photography. To be honest, I haven’t always known what I wanted to do “when I grew up” (or as I still say “when I grow up”), but through a course of miraculous events in my life I found photography… or sometimes I think, it may have even found me. I did however always know that I wanted to do things with my passions that would impact peoples lives in one, way, shape or form. My older sister Ericca is an amazingly talented painter and she has always been one of my biggest inspirations for taking my photography into the boudoir niche. She paints with an intimate understanding of the female form and expresses the woman’s body in some of the most sensual, abstract, gorgeous and sometimes even romantically eerie ways imaginable. It’s fascinating.
When I started photography 11 years ago, I shot weddings. I still shoot weddings (with my husband @Trystan Photography), and I love shooting weddings and always will. I mean how awesome is it to be able to capture a couple’s most special day? But my true passion and love is in taking sexy, intimate photos of women (sorry men, women only…it’s a comfort thing!) for them (and their significant other) to cherish for a lifetime. I love to hear, how from the photo shoot alone and before they’ve seen a single finished photo, women have more confidence and it’s changed the way they look at themselves. Not even to mention how thrilled, their significant other is with the photos! It’s the most completely rewarding experience I have!
I am the mother of two beautiful children, Ella (4) and Trystan (3), and I am the wife of Trig (30..hehe). I know what it’s like to be a single, fun, flirty 20-something. I know what it’s like to be in love. I know what it’s like to be a bride. I know what it’s like to be a Wife (going on 5 years) I know what it like to be pregnant. I know what it’s like to be a Mom. I know what it’s like to bust your butt to loose weight and how good that feels. I know what it is like to see yourself in a way you never thought you would. And I know what it is like to want to feel sexy! So whatever reason you may have for wanting to capture these very special photos for a loved one (or maybe just for yourself), I will be right there with you the whole way. The female form is beautiful in all shapes and sizes, so I encourage you to embrace that ladies. You will not regret taking these photos. So come on, let’s show ‘em what your Mama gave you!
